Home Check-up

Your First Step Toward a Structurally Sound Home

A foundational diagnosis to uncover the cause of cracks, movement, or subsidence.

The Home Checkup

A Home Checkup is a structured, professional non-invasive site assessment designed to identify signs of structural movement, subsidence, or foundation issues. It’s the first—and often most important—step in understanding what’s going on beneath your home.

Our team will visit your property, assess visible signs such as cracks or movement, and gather relevant data to determine if your home may be affected by subsidence or foundation movement. Based on this, we’ll advise whether further investigation, engineering input, or monitoring is appropriate. It’s not a sales visit — it’s your opportunity to get clear, expert insight.

Why Book a Home Checkup?

3 key reasons to start here.

Expert Advice Without the Pressure

We’re here to provide answers, not sell repairs you don’t need. Our goal is to help you make confident, informed decisions.

Foundation-Specific Assessment

Unlike general building inspections, our focus is squarely on structural movement and subsidence. This is what we do every day.

Clarity and Direction

Whether it’s a minor issue or something more serious, you’ll leave the checkup knowing exactly what’s going on — and what to do next.

Is Your Home Built on a Concrete Slab?

Our specialty

We specialise in homes with concrete slab-on-ground construction — this is where the screw pile underpinning method we use is most effective.

More specifically, our method is suited to buildings that are constructed onto a Concrete Slab, where the slab is cast onto and supported by the ground (Slab-on-Ground). This includes:

Slab on Ground

Slab on ground

Concrete floor supported on the ground with integral edge beams

Waffle Prep Pod Formation

Waffle Pod Slab

Concrete slab on ground using plastic/polystyrene pods to form stiffening beams in each direction throughout the slab.

Strip Footing with Infill slab

Older type structures

Strip Footing with Infill slab scenario.

If you’re unsure, we can usually confirm this based on a few details over the phone. If your home is built on stumps, bearers, or a suspended floor system, we may not be the right fit — but we’ll let you know straight away.

What’s Outside Our Scope?

We just do buildings

To ensure we deliver the right outcomes, we focus only on issues caused by structural foundation movement and the resulting damage to buildings. We don’t offer services for:

If you’re unsure whether we can help, feel free to reach out — and if we’re not the right team, we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.

Areas we service

QLD and NSW

We are predominantly active across South East Qld and Northern NSW. We do service beyond this region, encompassing all of QLD and NSW, however this is on a case-by-case basis, to ensure we can deliver on our promises of quality and timeliness.
