Underpinning & Foundation Repair
We repair foundations on cracking and subsiding houses, improving the safety and value of your home.
Cracks in walls or brickwork are visible or increasing in size (interior or exterior)
Cracks in the concrete slab around the house are increasing in size
Doors or windows have become difficult to open and close
Sloping floors are noticeable or have recently become more uneven
Gaps are opening up around door frames, windows or cornices
Need a second opinion on a foundation inspection or structural engineer’s report
All of these symptoms could point to a foundation problem that needs repairing. The quickest way to find out for certain is to get some expert advice.
To find out if underpinning is needed, you’ll first need an experienced professional to help you answer the following 3 questions:
What is the root cause/s?
How extensive is the problem?
Is the movement “active”?
Our complimentary Home Checkup service ticks all three boxes to provide you with much needed answers. If foundation repair is required, we’ll provide you with a service proposal for engineering and underpinning services, as applicable.
There are several reasons why building foundations fail. And they all relate to the soil types and moisture levels.
Large trees near the house
Recent flooding or slope failure
Broken or leaking plumbing pipes
Reactive soils and poorly compacted fill
Our foundation repair services are designed to restore the safety of your home and the value of your property.
We provide everything from initial site assessment and more detailed structural engineering reports, to the repair and restoration of building foundations using screw pile underpinning.
This estimation is based on hundreds of recent quotes we’ve provided over the past few years, which reflect up to date cost of materials.
But every underpinning project is unique.
Most foundation repairs we provide range between $4,000 and $35,000. More complex cases requiring major works can be in the vicinity of $40,000 to $80,000.

Our Repair Process
Our “wunderpinning” process ensures transparency and open communication throughout the job.
Fixed Schedule
We agree on a job schedule with each client and stick to it. Only bad weather slows us down.
We have an 8 step underpinning method designed to make underpinning easy to understand and transparent from start to finish.
We start by discussing your situation and assessing your home to determine if your foundation needs repairing. We answer all your questions as we go.
If you need underpinning, we’ll provide a fixed price quote and should you proceed with us, we arrange a schedule of works that fits in with you.
We prep the site and install screw piles, before concreting the piles in place. Once set, we lift your home back to the desired height. And then lock the house in place with a second concrete pour.
We’re checking levels at each step of the process.
We clean up the site and conduct an exit meeting to ensure you’re happy and completely informed.
Within 48 hours we provide a Foundation Completion Report, which is a detailed report of works for your records.
Our complimentary Home Checkups help alleviate uncertainty and concerns about your house foundations. And help you understand how you can improve the safety and value of your home.
